Please note that all Home Modification work must be referred by or to an OT.
Occupational Therapists are employed by your Local Area Health Service.
Minor modifications may include:
- supply and installation of handrails or grab rails
- supply and installation of handheld showers
- access modifications such as ramps, step wedges, easy steps and paths to suit your individual needs
Major modifications may include:
- access modifications such as ramps
- bathroom modifications
Home Maintenance 6354 5908
Lithgow Information and Neighbourhood Centre’s Home Modifications and Maintenance Service provide some maintenance work relating specifically to safety and access for example repairing a set of stairs that may not be suitable for safe access.
As part of Home Maintenance Service we offer a Gardening Service. This service will incur a fee which will be negotiated depending on the size of the job.
The co-ordination and supervision of HMMS jobs are managed by LINC CHSP Services and the work is undertaken by our own experienced builder and/or qualified trades people. LINC CHSP Service provides a financial subsidy subject to a means test.
